01-04 LB7 VIN code 1 (8th digit is “1”).  Choose from used/refurbished A-Grade or B-Grade, Service Numbers 8972160772,  8972160773, 8972160775, 8972160776, 8972160777, 8972160779  are interchangeable.

04.5-05 LLY, VIN code 2 (8th digit is “2”).  Choose from used/refurbished A-Grade or B-Grade. Service Numbers 97303751, 8973037511, 8973037513, 897307511, 897307513  are interchangeable.

B-grade:  a tested unit with a cosmetic flaw that will not affect performance or weather resistance.  A dent, surface oxidation or receptacle chip is typical.

A-grade:  a select used, cosmetically unblemished unit.

-Refurbished:  self explanatory

WARRANTY:  PLEASE NOTE, GM has issued a service bulletin on 04-05 LLY trucks beginning in 2008 informing of known wire bundle chaffing.  Since most fuel modules fail because of this wiring harness issue (short), these modules cannot be warranted.  Please contact GM with your VIN for further details and carefully evaluate your engine wire harness before installing.
